HOUR 1 – This hour will focus on the provisions of the ALTA 2021 Commitment and ALTA 2021 Owner’s and Lender’s Policies. The goal of this hour is to familiarize each attendee with how the forms are structured, the enforceability and validity of each, and what should be disclosed with each form. Practical examples and claims will be presented so participants can see how courts have interpreted provisions of the forms.

HOUR 2 – This hour will focus on common questions and challenges faced by the title company, buyers, sellers, and lenders. Practical examples and stories will be presented and discussed. It is hoped that from this hour practitioners will understand what information a title company needs to insure ownership of land and liens against land.
